Kelan’s Gift: Art on the Goldfields - fundraising for Street Smart
One of the key catalysts for the Tony Quinn Foundation to fund Street Smart, and to resurrect us from hibernation in 2024 was the unfortunate passing of Kelan Stroud in a car crash in Central Otago.
The Stroud family did not want Kelan’s passing to be in vain and have been incredibly strong and determined over the past year. They have being working with us to create change and fundraise to put as many local young drivers through the Street Smart programme as possible.
The Stroud whanau are organising a Sculpture Trail event in Central Otago, with a sole aim of raising funds for Street Smart. Set against the stunning landscapes of Bannockburn, Art on the Goldfields is a one-of-a-kind, private outdoor art experience, where creativity meets a life-saving cause. This exclusive one-day event features a curated collection of artworks displayed along a private 1km trail, complemented by live music, a progressive tasting menu, and Central Otago wines. All ticket proceeds and donations, and at least 30% of any artwork sold, will go directly towards supporting young Central Otago drivers to access Street Smart - empowering young drivers and making roads safer for everyone.
