What it really costs to keep a young driver safe
Every Street Smart training day costs $517.50 per participant to run. Coaches, venue costs, equipment, insurance, and the behind-the-scenes work that makes a safe, controlled learning environment possible - none of that comes cheap.
The $179 you pay to attend covers only a fraction of that. As a charitable trust, Street Smart heavily subsidises the rest of every training day, thanks to support from sponsors, partners, and donors who help close the gap.
When you book, you'll have the option to add a little extra on top of your $179 - whether that's $338.50 to cover the full true cost of your own place, $179 to fund a training day for another young driver, or simply rounding up to make it an even $200. Every extra dollar goes straight toward making sure cost is never the reason a young person misses out on real-world driving experience.
